Reflection
Escapes on the run was my community project. They are a business that is like the Escape Room, but on wheels. Their challenge was "an opportunity to work with the city and a service organization to create a major citywide event that would be held in 2019. Creating partnerships that work is a major focus for us right now." I was drawn to this challenge because I like to plan and organize events. Also, I was very interested in seeing how a company can create a citywide event for city as big as Fishers. I learned in the initial interview that the company is very small, but they go big. They have great pride in their games as well as critical-thinking tricks. In the end my team members and I proposed a mock scavenger hunt. We showed how it would it run. We talked about prices, location, audience and so much more! This was a great experience. My favorite part of this project was working with an adult and getting a look into their life and gaining a better understanding of how real entrepreneurship works. I struggled with communication at times. I did not always know what my partner wanted from me. Next time I would ask my community partner more questions to gain more knowledge of what they are doing and what they need from me.
