Meet Our Team
These are the people putting together HSEvolve.
The majority of my passion project I have been working on a film called HSEvolve. There is a lot of background information of how I encountered this project. My teacher is apart of this group called the Innovation Task Force, these people are from all over the district and promote innovation throughout the Hamilton Southeastern School district.
One day in February, my teacher came in and told us about this film idea that the Innovation Task Force came up with regarding spreading information about innovative learning. Innovative learning is allowing project based and hands-on learning. It also allows students to learn in a way that prepares them for the future. Anyhow, my class and I brainstormed ideas for the film. We came up with the time limit, content, and the overall goal of the film. We decided as a class that the film should be a 45 minutes, and it will include videos from all over the district of how teachers currently teach with innovation. We also came up with 12 different characteristics that we believe a person should leave with after 12 years of education. They are listed below.
1. Communications
2. Think Openly
3. Independence & Resourceful
4. Help Others
5. Work Ethic
6. Confident
7. Problem Solve
8. Create the Future
9. Bold Risk Taking
10. Cultural Appreciation
11. Find/Pursue your Passions
12. Conflict/Resolution
Myself and a few other classmates decided to continue with this as our passion project because we shared the common belief that innovation is necessary in school education. Our first steps included coming up with a name for the film and contacting teachers that we thought have very innovate teaching ways. We had teachers contact us if they heard about it through the Innovation Task Force or we simply contacted our favorite teachers throughout our educational careers.
At this point in time the girls and I have created the trailer. We are going to work on the movie throughout our summer and hopefully have it done before the 2019-2020 school year.
